American sunscreen leaving you shiny, chalky and annoyed? You know you should protect your skin, but there has to be a better way!
Korean women are known to be a little “extra” when it comes to sun protection – wearing huge hats or even umbrellas to block the sun’s harmful rays. And, they would never leave the house without slathering on a ton of SPF. And neither should you!
It’s no secret that the sun is damaging to our skin, causing premature wrinkles, age spots and even worse- skin cancer! Yet, many of us skip the sunblock! Why? For me, I didn’t like the way it felt.
Have you ever applied your sunscreen and an hour later you catch a glare in the mirror, so you look and to your horror it’s your shiny nose thanks to sunscreen!
Most our American sunscreens are so thick, pasty and goopy. Even the oil free kinds seem to leave a weird texture on my skin. I’d rather just skip it all together. And makeup, over the sunscreen? It would ball up and smear…. what a mess! Until last year, when I discovered Korean sunscreen. It’s SO different than typical American sunblock.
Korean sunscreen is lightweight, easily absorbed and some of them even seem to work almost like a primer- making my makeup stick better and last longer!
They definitely aren’t thick and shiny! The ones I recommend below seem to melt right into my skin, becoming like a practically invisible barrier between you and the sun!
And, they’re super cheap! I found mine on Amazon for under $20 and it lasts a whole season/ What have you got to lose? This summer, protect your face without sacrificing how your skin looks and feels.
Once you try Korean sunscreen, I don’t think you’ll ever go back to the pasty stuff we have here.
