We all want clear, bright, flawless skin, but for many of us it doesn’t come easy! Do you have clogged pores, blackheads, breakouts, and oily skin? So did I… until I made some lifestyle and beauty routine changes that completely changed my skin.
If your skin is acting up, maybe it’s your body telling you that you have eaten something it doesn’t agree with, or you haven’t been getting enough sleep, water and vegetables. Or maybe you’ve been stressed out! Your skin type also has a lot to do with genetics. Some people really are born with it!

Something that has really helped my skin is going vegan and gluten free. I know it sounds drastic and difficult, but it really isn’t once you get used to it. I believe gluten is an inflammatory and can wreck havoc on my skin. And dairy and meat were not agreeing with me either. I cut it all out and my skin has a glow now and my pores even appear smaller! I’ve also changed up a few other things, which I’ve included below.

How To Get Clear Skin
Eat well. You are what you eat and it shows! Sure some people can eat greasy take out every day and have great skin, but they are not human (well maybe they are but the ability to eat whatever you want and not be affected by it should definitely be a superpower). Since I cut out gluten and went vegan, my skin is so much happier! It’s never been so clear and bright! My pores even looks smaller and cleaner!
Be gentle. Avoid abrasive scrubs and harsh treatments. Stick to a gentle cleanser, but make sure your cleanser thoroughly removes all of your dirt, oil and makeup.
Deep-clean. Make sure you are giving your skin a good, deep-down clean. This Antimicrobial Facial Cleansing Brush System is comparable to the much pricier Clarisonic, giving you the deepest-down clean revealing baby smooth skin.
Exfoliate. Use a gentle rice exfoliant a few times a week, after you wash your face. I recommend this one:

Drink up! Make sure you stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. This helps flush out all of the toxins and clears your skin!
Protect your skin from the sun. I use an oil free, sensitive skin formula. Make sure your sunscreen is at least SPF 30 and is comedogenic. My favourite sunscreen for sensitive, oily skin is Darphin’s lightweight! It has a little tint, and zero chalky stuff! It almost melts right into the skin. My makeup goes on so smooth after too!
Try Ayurveda Healing oils! These oils are NO JOKE! They are like a skin care miracle. It’s so simple- just a few drops in the morning and night and you’ll notice a difference almost immediately.

Sleep well. Sleep is so important if you want good skin. I always break out after a few late nights!

Retin A. Always talk to your doctor before using retin a products to make sure it’s right for you. It can be great for acne, oily skin, clogged pores, wrinkles and more! It’s basically a miracle cream.

You need to wear a high SPF sunscreen and moisturizer every day:)
