They flake. They peel. They crack. They hurt. And, they are about as kissable as sandpaper. Nobody wants chapped lips. But cold, dry, or windy conditions or just some bad luck in the genes department can definitely dry out and roughen up those soft set of lips. Dry and cracked lips can even become infected. I usually like to use good old Blistex when my lips become dry, but I recently found these anytime lip masks that are not only deeply hydrating, but also tinted and deliciously flavoured, making lip care even better!
Think night-time lip mask, that you can wear all day and gives you colour!

I picked up a 4-pack set of these lip masks at Sephora in Canada but searching the US Sephora site (since most of my readers are from USA) I don’t see the 4 pack set:( But they do sell them separately if you want to buy from Sephora. I do shop at Sephora a lot because they always has a free gift if you spend $25 online! So make sure you check their offers before checkout— you can check their offers by clicking the ‘offers’ icon at the bottom of their website! Or in the app!
Or you can buy the 4 pack from the Tarte website below for $26 CAD.
They smell so, so good and have a subtle colour and most importantly they pack a ton of moisture! They are considered a lip mask, which means they are very hydrating and penetrating! I’ve been using these every day for the past week and I can see my lips look and feel healthier.
I even gave my one to my 6 year old because her lips get so dry in the colder weather and she loves to pretend it’s lipstick. Plus the smell is fun!
Tips For Chapped Lips
Drink Plenty Of Fluids
Don’t let your lips and body as a whole become dehydrated, drink additional fluids especially during the winter. As we age, the ability of our cells to retain moisture decreases so our dryness problem may actually increase during the winter time. Try to drink a glass of water every few hours.
Don’t Lick Your Lips!
I’m sure you know this one, but when your lips are dry and you don’t have any chapstick on hang, the first instinct is to lick! But don’t! When you lick your lips, you apply moisture which then evaporates and leaves your lips feeling even dryer than before. Licking chapped lips can in some cases cause dermatitis around the mouth, so beware. If you are tempted to lick your lips, just image that you’ve had cow dung applied to them – the cow dung won’t cure your lips, but it will sure stop you from licking em!
Don’t go dry this winter! Get healthier lips, with a hint of colour and delicious scent with these Tarte Anything Lip Masks! Your lips will thank you (and maybe your boyfriend too)
