A Full Moon Ritual To Set Intentions & Manifest
The moon cycle influences the water levels on earth and within you. Water also connects you to your emotions and intentions. So by doing a full moon ritual you’re able to set powerful intentions for manifestation!
If you can head down to a lake or any other body of water during the full moon, you might be able to feel the amazing energy! If not, you can try a full moon bath to enjoy the benefits of the moon.
For me, the full moon is a great way to find my life balance again and set goals. I always feel a new energy during this time and with that comes motivation. Do you notice you have more energy and motivation when the moon is full?
You don’t have to be a spiritual, witchy person to understand that the universe works with you and has a major influence on your life. I like to move with the rhythm of the universe and that means the moon cycle. I like to track the cycle and astrological signs and see how it impacts my mood and surroundings. I can always feel the energy shift during and after a full moon. Water levels rise, energy’s are up and then after there’s a sense of release. It’s the perfect time to manifest! Creating a full moon ritual for manifestation can help you understand and change your life.
Full moon’s also have a way of bringing up things we need to address in our lives… things we have tried to ignore. Deal with these issues now so you can move on along with the universe.
Creating Your Own Full Moon Ritual
Your full moon ritual should be custom-made just for you. It should include things you enjoy and that inspire you. You want to feel relaxed and good. When you feel good, your body’s vibrational energy rises, making it easier to manifest.

Some Full Moon Ceremony Ideas
Here are some things to include in your full moon ritual for manifestation:
- Essential oils
- Full moon bath
- Full moon water
- Telescope or binoculars
- Moon cycle
Crystals hold and release energy. Including crystals in your ritual can help set the energy for your ceremony. Here are some good crystals to include:
- Clear quartz
- Moon stone
- Rose quartz
These crystals will bring healing powers, good luck and positive energy.
Lay your crystals on a windowsill to absorb the power of the full moon and recharge. You can also put your crystals in a jar of ‘moon water’ to absorb the moon powers and super charge the water. Then use the water in your bath!
Essential oils are a great way to set the mood during a full moon ritual. Use calming, cleansing, spiritual essential oils such as sage, frankincense, lavender, lotus flower and bergamot.
Put a few drops in your full moon bath, add a few drops to your neck or diffuse them throughout the day to enjoy the benefits.
You can also make your own full moon incense for manifesting and creating a sense of clarity.
If you want to set goals and intentions for the weeks ahead, a full moon is the perfect time to do so! Use a journal to inspire ideas and take down notes.

Full moon intentions:
Full Moon Bath
The moon impacts water levels and water is naturally cleansing and calming (for most people), making it the perfect addition to your ritual.
Make a full moon bath
- 2 cups of Epsom salts
- 1 cup of milk
- 7-8 drops of your favourite essential oils
- 1/2 cup of dried flowers
- Jar of moon water (see below)
Clean your tub first and rinse well! Then draw your bath and add all of your ingredients. Light the candles and soak for up to a half an hour. Take deep breaths and release all negative energy and emotions. Use this time to think about what you want to manifest in your life. Set intentions for how to make these things happen. You can also meditate in the bath tub by simply allowing your mind to wander. This bath time ritual is a very powerful manifestation tool.
As you drain the tub, watch the water wash all of your negative energy down the drain.
Gather up a few glass jars and fill them with water. Place them on a window sill where the moon light hits. Leave them overnight to absorb the moon’s energy. You can drink the water the next day or use in your bath that evening. You can also put your crystals in the water to absorb the energy and recharge.
Track The Moon Cycle
Track the lunar cycle to see how the different phases effect you and to make sure you don’t miss another full moon. Each cycle, from new moon to new moon, is 29.5 days.
There are eight phases of the moon:
- Third quarter
- Waning gibbous
- Full moon
- Waxing gibbous
- First quarter
- Waxing crescent
- New moon
- Waning crescent
Use a calendar to track the moon cycles and binoculars or a telescope to see the moon cycle change.
Lucky for me, today as I write this post, it’s a full moon. In fact, it’s the last full moon of 2020! I’m going to hold my very own full moon ritual for manifestation and set my intentions for the upcoming weeks, months and year!
