I love strawberry milk, but that sticky, sugary syrup they sell in the stores just won’t do once you’ve tried the REAL DEAL! This drink is made with all natural ingredients and is so simple to make. In fact, it takes just 3 ingredients and a few minutes of prep (plus about 15 minutes to simmer the strawberry syrup). And in Ontario, it is strawberry season so let’s celebrate!
My version is a vegan version, but if you drink cow’s milk you could definitely use that instead of the almond milk!
How To Make Vegan Strawberry Milk
Ingredients:

- 10 Fresh Strawberries
- 2 Tsp Maple Syrup (use more or less depending on your taste)
- 4 Cups Vegan Milk (I use almond, but you can use coconut, soy or cows)
- Cheesecloth or a cloth you can use to strain the juices from the cooked strawberries
Instructions:
Wash and chop the strawberries. Set aside one chopped strawberry.
Put the strawberries and syrup in a small pot and simmer on low/med for about 15 min.
Once the strawberries are tender, use a potato masher or fork to mash up the strawberries.
Allow the strawberry mix to cool.
Pour the strawberry mixture into a cheesecloth, over top of a bowl to collect the syrup. Squeeze out the syrup in to the bowl.
Add the syrup to a glass milk jar or cup (use as much as you like, some people like more strawberry flavour).
Add a few chopped strawberry bits and then add the milk. Add a bit more syrup if you like.
Enjoy!
