Fall Bucket List: The Ultimate Autumn Activities

Are you ready for cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches and spooky movie marathons? Looking for things to do this fall? Check out my fall bucket list for the ultimate autumn activities for friends, family or just you!

Fall is my absolute favourite season. I love the crisp, cool air, the colour changing leaves, the cool mornings, cozy socks, sweaters, and fall fairs. Halloween is just around the corner and so I love to watch all of my favourite spooky movies, carve pumpkins and make pumpkin pies.

The Ultimate Fall Bucket List

Visit a pumpkin patch. No fall bucket list is complete without a visit to a local pumpkin patch. Wear a fall outfit and cute hat and make it a fun fall photo op.

Grab a pumpkin spice latte. Call me basic, but I love anything and everything pumpkin spice. Here are some great pumpkin spice latte recipes!

Wear fuzzy socks. It’s officially cozy sock season so get them out! And maybe grab a few new pairs:)

Put on a pair of Uggs. Or any boots that pair well with a cozy pair of tights and a comfy sweater.

Take a fall foliage drive and check out the fall colours. Vibrant orange, bright yellow and harvest brown leaves are the official sign that fall is here. Enjoy the colours of fall before it’s too late!

Shop for fall candles. Make your home smell like a cozy, fall day with some new fall scented candles.

Diffuse a fall blend. Instead of candles, make your home smell like an autumn day with these fall essential oil blends.

Hang a fall wreath. Decorate your home for fall with a leafy wreath! Check out the beautiful fall wreath below.

Make a beautiful fall wreath how to:

Go Apple picking. Another fall bucket list must is apple picking. There’s something about the whole apple picking adventure that really gets me in the fall mood- the ladders, the leaves and the smell of apples.

Bake an apple pie. Just went apple picking? Why not bake a fresh apple pie or apple crisp? Check out this delicious homemade apple pie recipe:

Make candy apples. Got an extra bushel of apples? Make up a batch of sweet and tangy candy apples!

Visit a fall fair. If you have a fall fair in your area, don’t miss out on all of the fun fall activities. There’s rides, candy apples, fall craft vendors, pumpkins and more!

More Things To Do This Fall (Autumn Activities)

Do a leaf rubbing. Grab some fresh autumn leaves, a pencil and a sketch pad and make some leaf rubbings. This is a fun fall activity for the whole family to enjoy.

How to make a leaf rubbing:

Watch a scary movie. Have a scary movie marathon. What are your favourite scary movies? Here are some of my favourites:

  • Halloween (all of them)
  • Scream
  • I Know What You Did Last Summer
  • When A Stranger Calls
  • Urban Legends

Watch a hallmark movie. Cozy up with your favourite blanket and a cup of hot chocolate and tune in to the Hallmark channel.

Have a fall family movie night. Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Casper, and Scooby Doo are some of my fall family favourites.

Visit a farmer’s market. Fall fairs are a great place to pick up all your fall favourites like apple cider, pumpkins, apples, and fall crafts.

Get a fall inspired manicure. A fresh set of fall nails is the perfect way to get into the spirit of autumn.

Here are some nail designs for short nails and some cute halloween nail ideas!

Upload a fall wallpaper for your phone. Feel the fall vibes every time you pick up your phone. Check out these fall wallpapers.

Pick and press wildflowers. Go out and find some vibrant wildflowers and make some fall flower crafts!

Drink apple cider. Apple cider makes me feel like fall. If you want to have the perfect fall day, be sure to pick up some apple cider!

Make caramel apples. Sure candy apples are good, but don’t forget to make some creamy, sweet caramel apples this fall!

Make a pumpkin pie. Is it even fall if you haven’t had a slice of fresh pumpkin pie covered in whipped cream? Check out the easy and classic pumpkin pie below:

Put on a cozy sweater. The cool fall mornings call for the coziest sweaters!

Snuggle under a big blanket with a mug of hot chocolate. I have at least 7 big blankets on my couch and every time I pass by one at the store i can’t help but touch it (and maybe buy it). You can never have too many cozy blankets, especially in the fall.

Put out some cute, tiny pumpkins! I always put out some colourful tiny pumpkins and gourds by mid-September to kick off the fall season.

Go on a fall picnic. Don’t forget the apple cider. Picnics are better in the fall- less bugs! And, it’s not so hot. Bring a cozy blanket and some apple cider for the ultimate fall experience.
